Research Interests / Specializations: Psychological benefits, exercise intervention, and psycho-social determinants of exercise
Biography: Anca Gaston completed her Ph.D. (2012) under the supervision of Dr. Harry Prapavessis. She is now a research associate with the Exercise and Health Psychology Laboratory and her research interests revolve around understanding the psycho-social determinants of exercise among pregnant and postpartum women, exploring the psychological benefits of exercise during pregnancy, and designing exercise interventions for a variety of populations including pregnant and postpartum women and obese children.

Nerissa Campbell

Research Interests / Specializations: Sedentary behaviour in chronic disease populations
Biography: Nerissa Campbell completed here Ph.D. (2012) under the supervision of Dr. Harry Prapavessis and Post-doctoral Fellowship (2017) with the Department of Medicine, Dalhousie University under Dr. Chris Blanchard. She is now managing the District Stroke Centre and Vascular Program at Bluewater Health in Sarnia and is an Adjust Assistant Professor with the School of Kinesiology at Western University. Her research interests revolve around understanding the determinants, epidemiology and intervention of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in chronic disease populations (e.g., heart disease and stroke); with a specialized expertise in the measurement of physical activity
